Standard Races and their place in this world
Note: For all of these races simply use the rules for generating them from whichever edition of the game you are running. Half Elves are obviously an option but they tend to not have their own communities since they are rare.

Human
Humans are about the same as they are in any setting. Coming in many varieties. They are heavily involved in almost all the kingdoms on the continent of Aelcrestia.

Dwarves
There are two types of dwarves with a major presence on Primordus. There are Hill Dwarves which are scattered around the world with no particular center of civilization. Small communities of Hill Dwarves live on both Alecrestia and Azora. However in the Land of Ice to the south of the other continents, it is rare to see anything other then Mountain Dwarves who live in a great underground city.

Dwarves of Primordus tend to worship The Bearded One, Thor, Heimdall, or Vaasmoot.

There are no Duergar on Primordus. So if a player wishes to play as one, they would have to be a character who has traveled from another plane of existence.

Elves
Aside from the Silver Elves and the Snow Elves which are unique to Primordus there are two other types of elves. There are the High Elves of Azora who live in the kingdom of Amhehone surrounded by the great forest on the western side of the continent. They have an open alliance and trade with the Oni and High Orcs who also inhabit the continent, as all 3 of their kingdoms are constantly fighting off the Savage Horde, a massive army of monsters, that resides in the center of the continent.

Wood Elves much like Hill Dwarves have no particular kingdom they call home but they tend to reside on Aelcrestia.

Elves of Primordus tend to worship Artemis, Bastet, Flondell, Gaea, or the Norns.

Like the Duergar there are no Drow on Primordus as there is no Underdark.

Gnome
Gnomes are an interesting bunch as always. Ever the energetic inventors, they reside primarily in the vast trade cities of Waa'Deem alongside the High Orcs.

Gnomes of Primordus tend to worship The Bearded One, Oghma, Zrem, The Many Eyed One, or Thoth.

Lizardfolk
The lizard men of Primordus mostly reside on the continent of Azora. They are a nomadic people who once resided in what is known as the Savage Expanse but as the monstrous Savage Horde grew to overtake the land the Lizardfolk have been pushed back into the surrounding areas and reluctantly allied with the High Elves, High Orcs, and Oni in the nearby kingdoms in the name of survival.

Lizardfolk of Primordus tend to worship either Quetzalcoatl or Talvis.

Goblinoids
Goblins and Hobgoblins have an interesting position in Primordus. It is uncertain how or when it came about exactly but goblins managed to move fairly high up in the ranks of the followers of Set. Equal in position to his human followers.

Many goblins in fact have been bullied out of worshiping their race's own deities. Those who have remained faithful to Grobbek have basically become second class citizens. Serving as nothing more then cannon fodder for Set's armies which are one of the most vast forces of evil on the continent of Aelcrestia.

Halflings
Halflings may perhaps have the most unfortunate fate of all. Any Halfling player character is either an escaped slave or the child of an escaped slave as the majority of Halflings have been enslaved by the armies of Set. Force to produce food for them or endure back breaking labor building their structures for them.

Kobolds
Kobolds may be no friend of the more civilized races. However they are far from the most hated as they have nowhere near the presence of many other evil races and consider many of the other evil races as common enemies with more good aligned civilizations.

Centaurs
The centaurs of Primordus are a nomadic people, living in small tribes or as lone hermits scattered across the forests of both Azora and Aelcrestia. The centaurs of Azora interact with other races more as they have a friendly relationship with the high elves. While the centaurs of Aelcrestia tend to keep to themselves since they can never be certain how humans will react to them on any given occasion.

Centaurs of Primordus tend to worship Aphrodite, Artemis, Thor, Dionysus, or Gaea.

Minotaurs
Minotaurs are not so much as race as they are members of various different races who have been cursed by the gods. Minotaurs are the result of a mortal incurring the wrath of one of the gods for some great crime against them (or perceived crime in the eyes of one of the evil gods). Regardless of what race they once belonged to, they are now a minotaur.

As it can be imagined, it is hard for someone to continue their regular life after being turned into a monster. Many people they once knew will not trust them either because they now view them as a beast or out of fear for also incurring the wrath of the god who cursed them.

Branded as monster, many give in to their inner demons in response. If everyone thinks you are a monster, then why not be one? Others seek to in some way atone for what ever they did that angered the god. Some become wanderers or hermits, simply wishing to live in peace as best they can in their newfound state.

The last however, are those who choose to take up the call of an adventurer. They might not have even been cut out for it before the transformation, but now they are a force to be reckoned with. All minotaurs however are male. As the gods of Primordus that grow angry with females tend to turn them into Medusa instead.

Roleplaying Notes: Any player character minotaur reasonably should be someone who was relatively recently cursed. As such the player should expect to come up with a backstory for why their specific minotaur drew the anger of a god. Also expect to have a hard time getting any help from townsfolk, if they're even allowed into a town or city.

Others
Aasamar, Dragonborn, Genasi, and Tieflings all exist on Primordus but they are so rarely seen that most of the populace have no particular opinion about them.
